Start with your holes
Measure from the middle of one screw hole to the middle of the other. A pull only fits exact centers, so 6 inches (152.4 mm) won't take a 6-5/16 in (160 mm) pull. How to measure your holes
Mixing pieces in one room
Knobs on wall cabinets and pulls on drawers is a common mix. Keep one finish across the room: The Knurled Brass Cabinet Knob and Pull comes as a knob, a T-bar and five pull lengths in one knurl and one matte nickel finish. Every piece is sold singly, so you can mix sizes and finishes in one order.
Fitting pulls to your doors
Check your door thickness before installing. The bar pulls fix with two screws from inside the door, and the long bent pull comes with two 1 in (25 mm) M4 screws. Our brass knobs come with a 1 in (25 mm) screw, and the antique bronze knob adds a 1-3/4 in (45 mm) screw for doors up to 2 in (50 mm). For thicker doors, use longer M4 screws.
To fit, pass the screw through the back of the door and thread it into the handle. Always tighten screws by hand with a screwdriver rather than an electric drill to protect the brass threads. Read our guide on how to measure hole centers and fit new handles.
Installing knobs and pairing pulls
Each knob needs a single hole and mounts with a screw from the back of the door. Thread the knob on by hand and turn it until snug.
For double cupboard doors, the Arc / Split pull comes in left and right versions, so you can fit a matching pair. For tall doors and wide drawers, The Long Bent Brass Cabinet Pull fits 16-3/8 in (416 mm) centers, and for small drawers the Line / Ball-foot pull starts at 2-1/2 in (64 mm). Don't use the Knurl / Nickel bar pull on appliance doors, grab bars or entry doors. Browse our solid brass cabinet pulls and solid brass cabinet knobs.

Questions
Can I mix knobs and pulls?
Yes. Knobs on wall cabinets and pulls on drawers is a common mix. Keep one finish across the room: The Knurled Brass Cabinet Knob and Pull comes as a knob, a T-bar and five pull lengths in one knurl and one matte nickel finish.
Are they sold in packs?
No. The pulls and knobs compared here are sold one at a time, so you order the exact count you need. Write down each size and finish, count the pieces for each, and mix them in one order.
Will the brass change color?
Yes, slowly: brass can darken and patina over time, and brushed finishes hide fingerprints better than polished ones. Never use brass polish on antique brass or antique bronze; it strips the antique tone back to bright metal. Wipe with a soft dry cloth, or a damp one and then dry, and skip abrasive pads, bleach and ammonia cleaners.
