This is a round cabinet knob cut from solid brass. The face is smooth and slightly domed, with a brushed finish that hides fingerprints better than a polished surface. There is no backplate and no visible hardware on the front, just the knob itself sitting against the door or drawer face.
Because it is solid brass rather than a plated shell, it has real weight in the hand. Each knob weighs 2.2 oz (62 g). That weight is what you feel when you pull a drawer open, and it is the reason brass knobs tend to stay tight over years of use.
The knob fixes with a single M4 screw that comes in from the back of the door or drawer front. One screw is included with each knob.
The knob comes in eight sizes. The first number is the diameter across the face, the second is the depth from the mounting surface to the front of the knob. All measurements are in inches with the metric value in brackets.
| Size | Diameter x depth |
|---|---|
| 1 | 1 x 1-1/8 in (25 x 29 mm) |
| 2 | 1-3/16 x 1-7/16 in (30 x 37 mm) |
| 3 | 13/16 x 1 in (21 x 25 mm) |
| 4 | 1 x 7/8 in (25 x 22 mm) |
| 5 | 1-3/16 x 1-1/8 in (30 x 29 mm) |
| 6 | 13/16 x 11/16 in (21 x 17 mm) |
| 7 | 13/16 x 15/16 in (21 x 24 mm) |
| 8 | 1-3/16 x 1-5/16 in (30 x 33 mm) |
A good rule for kitchens: use a smaller size on upper cabinet doors and a larger size on lower drawers, so the pull matches the weight of what it opens. For a dresser or a bathroom vanity, the mid sizes usually sit best.
The knob comes in brushed brass. The finish is warm rather than bright yellow, and it reads as a soft gold in most kitchen lighting. Brushed brass pairs well with white, navy, green and black cabinet fronts, and it sits comfortably next to stainless appliances without competing with them.
If you are matching new knobs to older brass hardware in the same room, keep in mind that brass patinas differently over time. New knobs will look brighter at first and settle in with use.
You need one hole per knob. The included screw passes through the back of the door or drawer front and threads into the knob. A single M4 screw means there is nothing to align and nothing to adjust, which makes this a simple swap on most cabinets.
A few things to check before you order:
To fit, mark your position, drill the hole, push the screw through from the back and turn the knob on by hand. Tighten until the knob sits flush against the face. Do not overtighten, since brass threads can strip if you force them.
Wipe the knob with a dry cloth. That is all it needs for everyday dust and fingerprints. Avoid wet cloths, abrasive pads and household cleaners, which can dull the brushed finish or leave water spots. If the brass darkens over time and you prefer the original look, a dry soft cloth is still the safest first step.
Kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, bathroom vanities, dressers, nightstands, built-in cupboards and storage benches. The round shape has no sharp edges, so it is comfortable to grab on a drawer you open many times a day. Because it is sold as a single, you can order one to test the size and finish before committing to a full kitchen.
It is sold as a single knob, and one 1 in (25 mm) screw is included with it. Order the exact number you need for your cabinets.
It fixes with a single M4 screw from the back of the door or drawer front. One 1 in (25 mm) screw comes with each knob.
It fits doors and drawer fronts up to 2 in (50 mm) thick. It is not for doors thicker than 2 in (50 mm).
Wipe them with a dry cloth. Skip wet cloths and abrasive cleaners, which can dull the brushed finish.
