These are the heights most American bathrooms use. Mark them in pencil before you drill, then check them against your own room and the people who use it.
Brushed gold is warm and soft, and it hides water spots better than polished metal. Gunmetal is a deep metallic gray that sits well with black faucets, concrete and gray stone. Polished chrome and brushed nickel match most standard faucets and shower trim.
If your faucet and shower are already one finish, match the hardware to them. Mixing two metals works best when the second one appears at least twice in the room, for example a gold paper holder and gold robe hook next to a black faucet.
Every piece mounts with screws through its wall plate. Into a stud, a wood screw holds on its own. Into drywall, use anchors rated for the load. A towel bar that carries wet bath towels is the heaviest job here, so try to catch a stud with at least one end.
On tile, put masking tape over the spot, then drill with a carbide or diamond tile bit at low speed so the glaze doesn't chip and the bit doesn't skate. Towel bars and hooks are not grab bars: never use them to steady yourself getting in or out of the tub.
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Mild soap is fine. Bleach, chlorine cleaners, scouring pads and metal polish wear through finishes, so keep them off. Brushed finishes clean best when you wipe along the grain.
Orders arrive in 6 to 16 days with tracking. Delivery is $6.95, and orders over $49 ship free. Unused pieces can come back within 30 days of delivery.

Most American bathrooms put it about 26 in (66 cm) above the floor and 8 to 12 in (20 to 30 cm) in front of the toilet bowl. Sit down and reach for the spot before you drill; the right place is where your hand falls without twisting.
Yes. Brushed gold next to black is a classic pairing, and gold with chrome works when the gold shows up at least twice, say a paper holder and a robe hook. If you would rather not think about it, match the faucet.
A drill, a level, a pencil and fixings that suit your wall: wood screws into studs, rated anchors into drywall, and a tile bit for ceramic or porcelain. Mark both ends with the level before you drill.
