A square wall plate, a short square post and a flat arm that turns up at the tip so the roll can't creep off the end. Everything else is straight lines and crisp edges, which makes it a natural match for square sinks, rectangular tile and boxy vanity hardware. The upturned tip is the only curve on it.
The holder is 304 stainless steel, the grade used for sinks and kitchen equipment because it resists rust in damp rooms. The brushed gold finish sits on top: a warm, soft gold with a fine grain that hides fingerprints and water spots better than mirror-polished metal. It works with brushed gold or brass faucets, and as a warm accent next to black fixtures.
The arm is 5-1/2 in (140 mm) long, enough for standard and double rolls. For most bathrooms, place the holder about 26 in (66 cm) above the floor and 8 to 12 in (20 to 30 cm) in front of the front edge of the toilet bowl. Sit down and reach for the spot before you mark it: the right place is where your hand falls without twisting.
If the wall beside the toilet is the side of a vanity or a narrow return, check that the arm clears the tank, the baseboard and any trim, then mark the plate with a level.
Square hardware looks most at home with square or rectangular sinks, slab cabinet doors and straight-edged faucets. If your faucet has soft, round lines, a holder with a round plate will sit more naturally; if it is square, this one finishes the look. A brushed gold holder also warms up a white or gray bathroom without a remodel.
The holder fixes through its square plate with screws. Use wood screws into a stud, rated drywall anchors elsewhere, and a tile bit at low speed through ceramic or porcelain tile. Put tape over the drilling spot so the bit doesn't wander on glazed tile.
Wipe with a soft damp cloth and dry. Mild soap is fine. Bleach, chlorine cleaners, scouring pads and polish can dull the brushed gold, so keep them off it.
The 5-1/2 in (140 mm) arm takes standard and double rolls. The widest mega rolls can be a snug fit, so measure the width of your usual roll against the arm if you buy the largest sizes.
No. The holder is 304 stainless steel with a brushed gold-tone finish. That keeps it rust resistant in a steamy bathroom and far harder wearing than thin gold plate on a soft metal.
It is a soft, warm brushed gold, close to most brushed gold and brushed brass faucets. Shades vary between makers, so compare the photos with your faucet in daylight if you are matching exactly.
Yes, if the panel is solid wood or plywood thick enough to take screws and the arm clears the toilet when you sit. On thin panels, use screws short enough not to break through inside the cabinet.
