The bar is just under 1/2 in (12 mm) thick and smooth all the way along, with a ball at each post instead of a straight leg. It is a pull that disappears into a room until you reach for it, and then feels heavier than you expect.
The 2-1/2 in (64 mm) size is the one for small drawers, bathroom vanities and furniture, where most modern pulls are too long. The 3-3/4 in (96 mm) size replaces the most common American drawer pull without new holes.
The brushed finish has a fine straight grain and a soft gold color. Wipe it with a damp cloth and dry it; avoid scouring pads, bleach and ammonia cleaners, which dull the grain.
On drawers, center the pull side to side and either center it top to bottom or set it in the top third on deep drawers. On doors, mount it vertically near the opening edge: near the bottom on wall cabinets and near the top on base cabinets. Keep the same height on every door in a run so the line reads straight across the kitchen.
Yes, if your old pulls have 3-3/4 in (96 mm) hole centers, the matching size here drops straight into the existing holes. Measure between the middles of the two holes to be sure; some older pulls are 3 in (76 mm), which this pull doesn't come in.
This pull comes in brushed brass only. Our other pulls come in brushed nickel, antique brass, coffee bronze and matte black if you want a darker or cooler tone.
The bar and ball feet are brass. Weight is the quick tell: the 5-1/16 in (128 mm) size weighs 7.4 oz (210 g), heavier than most zinc pulls of the same length.
A pull around one third of the drawer's width looks balanced. On a 30 in (76 cm) drawer that points to the 7-9/16 in (192 mm) or 8-13/16 in (224 mm) size, at 10-1/4 in (260 mm) and 11-3/16 in (284 mm) long.
Yes. Brass handles a damp bathroom well. Wipe splashes off now and then so water spots don't build up on the brushed surface.
Yes. The 2-1/2 in (64 mm) and 3-3/4 in (96 mm) sizes suit dressers, nightstands and sideboards, and the ball feet sit well on both painted and natural wood.
