What this door stop is

This is a small silicone stop that rests on the floor under a door. When the door swings open, the stop meets the bottom edge and holds it back before the door handle or edge can mark the wall. The silicone is clear, so it blends with most flooring instead of standing out. There is no drilling and no hardware to mount. You place it, and the door does the rest.

How to fit and use it

No tools are needed. Set the stop on the floor in the path of the door, close to the wall you want to protect. Open the door slowly and let the bottom edge meet the stop. Adjust the position until the door rests where you want it, with the wall still clear.

Check the clearance under the door before you buy. The door needs at least 1 in (25 mm) of space between its bottom edge and the floor. If the gap is smaller, the stop will not fit under the door and the door will not close over it.

Once the stop is in place, it stays put through normal use. The clear silicone grips the floor and holds its shape. If you move furniture or change the room, lift the stop and set it in the new spot. There is nothing to unscrew and no marks to fill.

Care

Wipe the stop with a dry cloth to keep it clean. A dry cloth is enough for everyday dust and marks. There is no need to soak it or use a wet cloth.

Where it works best

This stop is made for doors that swing toward a wall and need a soft barrier at the floor. It suits bedroom doors, office doors, bathroom doors and any interior door with enough clearance underneath. Because it is clear, it works with wood, tile, laminate and vinyl floors without drawing attention.
