The Rubber Door Wedge Stop is a small block of rubber shaped to slide under the bottom edge of a door. Once it is in place, the door rests against it and stays where you put it. The rubber grips the floor and the door, so the door does not slide back on its own or swing into the wall behind it.
The whole stop is rubber. There is no metal plate, no screw and no adhesive pad. You set it on the floor and push the door over it. That makes it a good fit for rentals, for doors you do not want to drill into, and for spots where you want to move the stop from one door to another.
The stop is 2.44 x 2.44 x 0.98 in (62 x 62 x 25 mm). The 0.98 in (25 mm) height is the number that matters most. It is the tallest gap the wedge can fill.

Measure the gap under your door before you order. If the gap is taller than 0.98 in (25 mm), the wedge will not reach the door and it will not hold. This stop is not made for those doors. A standard interior door with a typical floor clearance sits well inside the range.
The wedge also works on doors that swing both ways. The sloped shape lets the door ride up and settle, so it can hold a door from either side. That suits a door you want to keep open for airflow, for carrying things through, or for a pet or a person moving in and out.
Pick the color that blends in or stands out, whichever you prefer.
All four colors come in the same size and the same rubber build. The color is the only difference.
To release the door, pull the wedge out with your hand or nudge it free with your foot. There is nothing to unlatch and nothing to unscrew.
A few spots where this stop earns its place:
Because it sits under the door rather than on the wall or the baseboard, it does not leave a mark on the wall. That is the main reason people reach for a wedge instead of a wall-mounted bumper. The door meets rubber, not paint or drywall.
Wipe the stop with a dry cloth. That clears dust and grit, which is what you want, since grit under the rubber can cut grip. Do not soak it and do not put it in a dishwasher. A dry wipe every so often keeps the surface clean and the hold steady.
Rubber can pick up a little dust from a garage floor or a porch, so a quick wipe before you set it down on a smooth floor helps it grip. If the floor is slick, press the wedge in firmly and check that the flat side sits flush.
Set the wedge where the door will meet it at the angle you want. If you want the door open wide, place it further from the hinge side. If you want it open just a crack, place it closer. You can move it any time, which makes it easy to test a few spots before you settle on one.
For a door that swings both ways, the wedge works from either side. Set it, push the door over it, and the door stays. Pull it out when you want the door to move freely again.
It fits doors with a gap of 0.98 in (25 mm) or less under the bottom edge. Measure the gap first. If the gap is taller than that, the wedge will not reach the door.
It is a floor stop. The wedge sits under the door on the floor, so nothing mounts to the wall or the baseboard. That means no marks on your wall.
One. Each order is a single rubber wedge stop. If you want stops for more than one door, order the number you need.
White, Gray, Black and Coffee. All four come in the same 2.44 x 2.44 x 0.98 in (62 x 62 x 25 mm) size and the same rubber build.
