What it is and what it is made of

The Magnetic Floor Door Stopper is a floor mount door stop with a magnetic hold. The body is stainless steel and plastic, so the surface is smooth and easy to keep clean. It mounts to the floor and catches the door as it swings open, which keeps the door from hitting the wall behind it.

How to fit and use it

1. Open the door to the point where you want it to stop.
2. Mark the floor where the door edge meets the stopper position. Leave enough room for the door to clear the stopper body before the magnet catches.
3. Check that the spot is flat and that the door will not hit the stopper at an angle.
4. Fix the stopper to the floor at the marked spot.
5. Open and close the door a few times. The magnet should catch the door and hold it without a hard jolt.

A few notes that help:

• Floor mount means the stopper sits on the floor, not on the wall or the baseboard. It does not need a wall plate.
• Keep the stopper clear of rugs, mats and uneven floor edges. A soft or raised surface under the stopper can change how the door meets it.
• If the door has a deep gap underneath, the stopper may not reach the door. Measure the gap first.
• Set the stopper so the door stops before it touches the wall, trim or furniture.

Care

Wipe the stopper with a dry cloth. That is all it needs. A dry cloth lifts dust from the stainless steel and plastic without leaving streaks. Avoid soaking it or using wet cleaners, since the mount sits on the floor and water can pool around it.
