The Quiet Hold Door Stopper is a wall and baseboard mounted door holder. A metal plate and a magnet meet to keep the door in place, while the silicone body absorbs the contact. The result is a quiet stop instead of a bang.
The body is silicone with metal parts inside. Silicone is soft and grippy, so it cushions the door edge and does not scratch or dent the surface it touches. The metal gives the magnet something to hold onto, so the door stays where you leave it.
Because it mounts to the baseboard, the stopper sits low and out of the way. It suits interior doors in homes, apartments and rentals where you would rather not drill into a wall or trim.
This stopper uses an adhesive mount. There are no screws and no drilling. You clean the baseboard, peel the backing and press the stopper into place. Let the adhesive set before you use the door.
It is a baseboard mount, so it is made to sit on the lower trim rather than the floor or the wall above. Check that your baseboard has a flat spot wide enough for the base of the stopper. A clean, dry, smooth surface holds best. Skip rough brick, loose paint or damp spots.
If you are not sure where to place it, open the door to the angle you like and mark where the door edge meets the baseboard. That mark is your spot. Press the stopper there and let the magnet catch the door.
Pick the finish that blends in or stands out.
| Color | Look |
|---|---|
| White | Blends with white trim and light baseboards |
| Gray | Soft neutral for gray or greige trim |
| Black | Strong contrast on light trim |
| Clear | Nearly invisible on most baseboards |
All four colors come as a single stopper. If you have several doors, order one for each door.
Use it on interior doors that swing toward a baseboard: bedroom doors, bathroom doors, closet doors and office doors. It is a good fit for rentals, dorms and any place where you want a door stop without holes.
It also helps in rooms with a draft or a door that drifts. The magnet holds the door at the open position, so it does not creep shut on its own.
This is not a floor door stop and not a hinge pin stop. It mounts to the baseboard, so it needs trim to sit on. If your door has no baseboard behind it, this is not the right stop.
Wipe the stopper with a dry cloth. That is all it needs. Keep it away from standing water and harsh cleaners, which can break down the adhesive over time.
If the hold weakens, press the stopper back onto the baseboard and check that the surface is clean and dry. Dust and grease are the usual reasons an adhesive mount lets go.
No. It uses an adhesive mount, so you press it onto the baseboard without screws or holes. Clean and dry the baseboard first for the best hold.
It is made as a baseboard mount, so it is designed for lower trim. A flat, smooth wall can work, but the baseboard is the intended spot.
It is sold as a single stopper. If you want to protect more than one door, order one for each door.
You can pick white, gray, black or clear. All four are the same stopper, just a different finish.
