The Float / White House Number is a single character made of zinc alloy with a white lacquered finish. It measures 5 x 0.5 in (125 x 12 mm) and is 0.5 in (12 mm) thick. The face stays clean because the piece fixes to the wall with screws from the back. From the street, the number or letter appears to float just off the surface.
Use it to mark a house, mailbox, door, or address plaque. The white finish reads clearly against brick, siding, wood, and dark paint. Each character is sold on its own, so you can build the exact address you need.
Every character shares the same footprint and thickness. Pick the ones that spell your address.
| Character | Height | Width | Thickness |
|---|---|---|---|
| Number 0 to 9 | 5 in (125 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) |
| Letter A | 5 in (125 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) |
| Letter B | 5 in (125 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) |
| Dash sign - | 5 in (125 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) | 0.5 in (12 mm) |
Options to choose from: Number 1, Number 5, Number 7, Number 2, Number 3, Number 6, Number 4, Number 9, Letter A, Number 0, Number 8, Dash sign -, Letter B.
The finish is white with a lacquered surface. It holds up outdoors and wipes clean with a dry cloth. The white face keeps the character easy to read in daylight and under a porch light. Because the mounting screws sit behind the piece, the front stays smooth and free of visible fasteners.
Each character includes screws and wall plugs. The screws drive in from the back of the piece into the wall or mounting surface.
For a mailbox, the same steps work on a post or panel. For a door, mount the character on the door face or on the trim beside it. Leave a small gap between characters so each one reads on its own. A dash sign works well between numbers, such as 12-34.
Wipe the surface with a dry cloth. Avoid wet cloths and harsh cleaners, which can dull the white finish over time. A quick dry wipe now and then keeps dust and road film off the face.
Each order is a single character. If your address is 123, order Number 1, Number 2, and Number 3 separately.
Each one measures 5 x 0.5 in (125 x 12 mm) and is 0.5 in (12 mm) thick. Numbers, letters, and the dash sign all share the same size.
